Campbell River Decks and Railings uses an aluminum "picket and glass" railing system for installation on residential and commercial railing applications. Whether you are replacing existing or adding new, our railing systems will complete your deck or patio design with structural integrity and pleasing esthetics.

Keep in mind even though these are the three most common types of railing systems, we can mix and match designs to compliment view areas and budget needs. The "see view" system being the most popular with view homes is a very specialized piece of equipment do to not having any top or bottom rails. The glass is 10 or 12mm thick tempered, compared to 5 or 6mm for systems with top and bottom rails.

Local building code requirements for railing systems.
- Deck surface below 18" to ground/grade no railing is required under most conditions.
- Deck or Patio surface 18" - 6' above ground/grade you must have a 36" minimum height to the top of the railing system.
- Deck or Patio surface above 6' to ground/grade you must have a 42" minimum height to top of railing system.
- 4" between pickets maximum
- 4" between bottom rail and deck surface maximum
- No railing system can be built that facilitates climbing - ex: horizontal pickets

Features
Wind and Privacy walls can be built up to 5 feet in height. You can fill the structure with frosted or tinted glass. All the glass we use on any projects is 6mm thick and tempered. Tempered glass is also known as safety glass as it will not break into sharp chards in the event of accidentally breakage. This is the same glass used in sliding glass doors and has a very high tensile strength.
